Khela Smith – 3 Year Old Pre-K Instructor
I’m Khela Smith. I’m starting my second year here at CCPA. I teach the K3 class and absolutely love all my littles I get to spend the days with. I truly think in some ways kids this age are the most challenging but they are also the most rewarding. We all truly learn something new every day in my room. Every day is an adventure that I am truly thankful for. I am from Carterville. I graduated from Carterville in 2001 and continued my education at John A Logan. I love my town and try to be involved in the community whenever and however I can. I love to get my class involved with the community as much as possible. I have two children. I have an eight year old son and a six year old daughter. They are both very active in sports and keep me really busy. I love sports. I played basketball and ran track and cross-country in school. Now I enjoy watching my kids try new sports and seeing what their passions are. I am excited to start this year and see what blessings we have in store for us!!!

The Lord blessed me with a creative brain and a desire from the time I was a small child, to develop my talents artistically. I have had a range of wonderful mentors who always pushed me to pursue my love of art. I try and fit my creativity into every aspect of my life. I desire to spread my love of art to others and in the classroom. I am so excited to teach Art Appreciation at Carterville Christian Preparatory Academy. We have a lot of fun things planned and I hope that your child will come out of my class with knowledge of some art history, different media’s and a feeling that they can use their creative side in many aspects of their lives.
Elizabeth Ramirez-Null – Spanish Instructor
Hola! My name is Elizabeth Ramirez-Null, and I am the Spanish Instructor here at CCPA. I love to see those little faces as they learn Spanish! I am so excited to start another school year at CCPA. I am originally from Veracruz, Mexico. After I completed college, I moved to the U.S.A. and have lived in Carterville for ten years. I am married and have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, who is seven years old, as well as two stepchildren. I have been teaching children Spanish since 2011. As you may know, Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. By giving your child an early start in Spanish, you have made a very wise decision that will benefit him/her greatly as he/she grows up.
